I went to Notasulga, Alabama to farm. I loved the farm host I stayed with, her family was warm and welcoming. She has cultivated a healthy and healing community. The town itself is very small, there wasn’t much to do outside of farming. I would certainly go back but only to this particular farm surrounded by Black people. I would advice entering Alabama with your folding chairs ready…for camping out and such activities of course.
